Photography is capturing moments in time that give you pieces to a story. My love of landscape photography started back when I was a kid flipping through National Geographic, Life, and travel magazines my parent's had around the house. I took my first photography class when I was 14, and have loved it ever since. My goal is to share the experiences, stories, and scenery of the things that touch my soul.
Photography & Career
I am a photographer based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been doing landscape photography for seven years, and portrait photography for 4 years. My very first camera was a hand me down Nikon F100 film. In 2016 I was given a Canon T1i, and have slowly been acquiring gear since. I shoot full frame now for all my work both family, and landscape. I love being able to work with families, and hiking all around the Rocky Mountains. I have photographed in Wyoming, Utah, Oregon, and Idaho. I love sharing my images of landscapes like Arches in Moab, the coast in Oregon, or the wind swept prairies so that other's can see just how amazing our world is.
I love being able to meet people from all walks of life, which is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Just like no one hike is the same, I like to create photoshoot atmospheres that are specific for each session. I take candid, and posed photos to make sure I capture the essence of each person.
Home Life
I met my best friend, and partner 8 years ago at a wedding reception. On our first date we went rock climbing, and ate Mexican food in a bus converted into a roadside restaurant. Life has been an adventure ever sense. We drag our three kids around the wilderness with us to go camping and hiking. Photographing beautiful places comes with the added bonus of eating great food in amazing places. I love watching cooking shows, and trying new recipes. Sharing food with people all over the world has not only blessed me with friends all over, but also the ability to get to know locals who love to share about the places I would never have known about. I've learned that if you open your mind to knew foods, environments, and ideas amazing opportunities come into your life.
